UNIT TESTS
Unit 2 TestThe unit tests consist of one-hundred questions. The unit tests consist of fifty multiple choice, twenty true/false, and thirty matching. The matching have fifteen "people" and then another fifteen "places & things." The students are provided with a review sheet that is composed from the actual test; thus, nothing on the review is a waste of their time. When they are completing the review sheet, they should pay special attention to cause/effect. The review sheet should also include any relevant information regarded to the term on the paper.
The student is shown a motion picture during the week in class, which means they have no additional homework beyond test preparation. While the movie is being played, the student may solely watch the film, work on their test preparation, or a combination of the two. This time is not meant for studying; rather, it is for the creation of their study materials. Remember, students are able to retake the test for a maximum score of a 60%. They will come to ASP on Tuesday and review their test and then return on Thursday to actually complete the retake.
The students will see the following films:
Unit 1 Test: Far and Away (A film that emphasizes the role of Irish immigrants coming to America)
Unit 2 Test: Iron-Jawed Angels (A film that focuses on Alice Paul's fight for the 19th Amendment, women's suffrage)
Unit 3 Test: Cinderella Man (A film that highlights the challenges of the Great Depression)
