Ch. 12 HW Questions
Chapter 12 focuses on the United States becoming a world power. A major component of that transition was the watershed event of the Spanish-American War in 1898. To the left, there is a photo of one of the most famous images of the war, which is Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders.
To access the chapter questions for the section, simply click on the listing of the homework you desire to see. Although your student was presented with a hard copy (paper) in class, many parents/guardians like access to the work as well. For the most part, the questions are in order with how they are presented in the text. Also, the questions work well as a guide for the student while they are reading. Please make sure they do not simply skim the text searching for answers; rather, they need to read it actively. However, some students prefer to use these questions as a method of skimming and then read the material for meaning after completing the sheet, which is fine. When they follow this method of pre-reading and then reading for content, please encourage them to search for cause-and-effect.
If you look at the calendar for U.S. History, it will present you, the parent or guardian, with the due date for each of these assignments.
